Machine Learning Idea Competition

Call for Idea Submissions

Machine learning (ML) focuses on the development of computer programs that can access data and use it to learn for themselves.  ML is an important component of 4.0 IR. At present ML is efficiently used for different purpose such as finding, extracting and summarizing relevant data; making predictions; fraud detection; medical diagnosis; automatic language translation; virtual personal assistant; spam and malware filtering; calculating probabilities for specific results; adapting to certain developments autonomously etc.

ML Idea Competition is inviting project and innovations related but not limited to following ML related topics:

  • Multiagent Systems
  • Supervised and Unsupervised Models
  • NLP
  • Deep Learning
  • Reinforcement Learning in Physical Systems
  • Machine Learning for COVID-19
  • Statistical Inference
  • Intelligent Foraging
  • Navigation and Search Strategies
  • Generation of Training Datasets
  • Decision Support Systems
  • Brain Informatics
  • Genetic Algorithms, Swarm Optimization
  • Intelligent Transportation Systems
  • Performance Evaluation and Modeling
  • Machine Learning in Cyber security.

Note:

  1. The competition is open for all.
  2. The idea can be submitted individually or as a group of at most three personnel. There is no restriction about the affiliation of the team members. They can be from same institute or different institutes. Even if there are some members who have no official affiliation, there is no problem.
  3. There will be no public discloser of the initially submitted ideas to keep the confidentiality of the ideas of the individuals. Only finally selected ten ideas will be disclosed at the website. However, the IPR of the innovators / developers will be ensured during discloser.
  4. The competition will be of three rounds.
    1. At the first round, all initially submitted ideas will be evaluated and top-50 ideas will be selected. Certificates will be awarded to each of these 50 projects.
    2. At the next round, each of the top-50 ideas will invited for a five minutes video demonstration via online platform and top-10 ideas will be selected. Each of these ten pideas will be awarded with certificates and prize money.
    3. At final round, top-03 ideas will be finalized and team members of these top-03 teams will be invited to join BIM 2021 at Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. Transportation (two-way AC bus), foods and accommodation (on share basis by team members of each team) for two-days will be ensured for top-3 teams. Champion and 1st and 2nd runner ups as well as the ranking of remaining teams will be declared at the closing ceremony of BIM 2021. All other participants of the competition will have the opportunity to participate at BIM 2021 virtually.
